I am a registered dietitian who is passionate about eating disorders, disordered eating, and helping others find balance in their relationship with food and their body. I have worked in inpatient, residential, and PHP levels of care at an eating disorders hospital in Atlanta as well as in a variety of clinical and public health settings throughout my career. My non-diet based nutrition philosophy and Health At Every Size® approach enhances clients’ opportunity to connect with their mind and body without rigidity, restriction, and judgment and to learn positive perspectives around food and their body. My hope is for clients to find freedom and flexibility around eating and movement to ultimately remove the stress around nourishing oneself appropriately and living fully. To do so, I feel privileged to get to know clients comprehensively to determine the most individualized and effective care plan so that they can achieve their personal health and well-being goals. Food is meant to nourish our resilient bodies, to foster joy and community and to create positive experiences!
Also, with training in the Ellyn Satter models of the Satter Division of Responsibility (sDOR) and Eating Competency®, I can also support those needing guidance on enhancing their child’s nutrition needs and understanding growth and development. These approaches help both the parent and child learn their role in the feeding/eating dynamic and remove pressure around quantity of food so that one can better focus on their hunger/fullness cues and body’s needs throughout developmental and life stages.
I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health for my Master’s in Public Health and Dietetic degrees. I have a strong passion for serving and learning from others to create strong partnerships and community. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors with family, friends, and my dogs as well as being creative with jewelry design.
I am currently licensed in and accepting clients in Georgia and South Carolina. Currently offering virtual sessions only.
